Summarizing a remarkable event, Meet Magento 2019 Singapore

Meet Magento is an annual event for Magento developers and retailers to enhance their knowledge of the latest eCommerce trends and technologies.

Each year the Meet Magento conference takes place in more than 40 countries including North America (USA, Mexico), South America (Argentina), Southeast Asia (Singapore, Indonesia), East Asia (Japan), South Asia (India), Europe (Germany, Spain), Middle East (UAE) etc.

Meet Magento SG 2019

The venue for this years event was Hotel Marina Bay Sands and the date was 22nd of August 2019.

Similar to last years, the day started with “Registrations and Welcome Refreshments” at 8 AM. The event was attended by locals and international attendees including Founders, CTOs, Entrepreneurs, Business Developers, Data Scientists, Ecommerce Consultants, Retailers, and Developers.

  • More than 35 speakers were covering gripping topics.
  • 20+ sponsors with Google and PayPal being the PLATINUM  Sponsors.

Attendees were really excited for the remarkable day ahead.

Event Begins (Welcome Remarks)

COO of Ranosys, Sushma Vyas started the event with ‘Welcome Remarks,’ followed by Nicholas Kontopoulos‘s covering first keynote on ‘BRAND UTILITY: The Purpose of Purpose.’

Nicholas Kontopoulos

Nicholas started by presenting a great quote from ‘Father of Business Consulting’ Peter Drucker. He covered the first special keynote of the day and explained the purpose of purpose.

Monisha Varadan

After Nicholas, Monisha Varadan covered a great topic “Why Performance on the Web Matters”. She explained why performance optimization is so important in today’s generation and how fast loading website can drive more revenue.

She also gave an overview of Google Pay and how it is changing the term ‘Online Payment’. Today n numbers of brands are utilizing this mode of payment and multiplying the revenue.

After the morning refreshments break, the event advanced into two different tracks simultaneously: Business Track and Solution Track.

First Panel Discussion

Swat Kumar hosted an interesting panel discussion with Jason Lee, Vitali Zagorodnov, Michal Lojewski, and Anand Ramdeo. They discussed ‘how shopping experiences are influencing customer buying patters.’

Second Panel Discussion

Topic “Mobile First: Myth or Reality” was discussed in the second panel discussion and it was hosted by Terence Rajah and the panelists were Isabella Zhou, Vikrant Shukla, Pan Xiuling, and Ankit Agarwal.

Vatsal Shah

An interesting topic “Paradigm Shift – eCommerce SI to eCommerce Agency” for all the Entrepreneur and Business Owners was covered by Vatsal Shah. He explained in detail how to cultivate agency culture and transform it to new level.

Dana von der Heide

Entrepreneur & Founder at Parcel Perform Dana von der Heide covered a wonderful topic “Succeed in the Post-Checkout Experience”

Ben Mark

The event was not finished yet, as Ben Mark senior Magento Evangelist (Magento, an Adobe Company) covered most interesting Keynote of the day “The Future of Magento”.

After Party

No Magento event is over until there is an After Party. Event sponsor Ranosys Technologies thrown an excellent After Party where everybody interacted with each other and enjoyed the evening.
